Julian Taylor

Julian Taylor, Solicitor and Principal of Honley Law PracticeSolicitor and Principal

After a degree taken in Manchester, Julian qualified in 1987 and following a short spell with the Crown Prosecution Service, joined a Huddersfield firm and was made a partner in 1989. He established The Honley Law Practice in 2002 and now deals with family, employment and property related issues.

He is a former president of Huddersfield Law Society and is Treasurer for the National Executive Committee of the Solicitor Sole Practitioner Group. He is involved with the local Village Trust, a local Land Trust, and assists with the provision of pro bono legal services in the area.

He has two grown up daughters and lives in Honley. In his rare moments of spare time he enjoys cycling, walking, sailing and gardening.

Fozia Ahmad

Fozia Ahmad - Practice AssistantAssistant Solicitor

Fozia is married and has a young daughter and lives in Huddersfield. She graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a first class law degree, where she also completed the Legal Practice Course. She qualified in England and Wales in April 2010 and has since become dual qualified to practice in Scotland. Fozia joined the Honley Law Practice in June 2011 and deals with employment and family law matters.

In her spare time, Fozia enjoys visiting family and friends in Scotland. She also enjoys going to the theatre, reading and shopping.

Patricia Taylor

Pat Taylor - Practice ManagerPractice Manager and Probate Manager

Pat has worked in the law for over 20 years and been with the Honley Law Practice since its beginning.

She has extensive experience of Wills and Probate and has passed the ILEX examinations in Probate Practice and Probate and Succession, and the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Diploma in Administration of Trusts.

Kerry Stockbridge

Kerry Stockbridge - Practice AssistantPractice Assistant

Kerry joined Honley Law Practice in June 2009 after previously working in the manufacturing industry for six years as an Administrator. She completed a Legal Secretaries Course at Huddersfield Technical College after she left school and is currently building up her knowledge within the Practice.

Kerry has achieved a brown belt in freestyle karate at the Colne Valley Black Belt Academy and used to play badminton for the Huddersfield district, but nowadays spends most of her free time on days out with her family or at play gyms with her two young children.

Sandra Schoolar

Sandra Schoolar - Practice AssistantPractice Assistant

Sandra is married with 3 boys. She worked as a typesetter in the printing industry for 16 years in Yorkshire and Bedfordshire. She then moved into further education in an administrative role, moving on to teaching basic computing skills to students with learning difficulties and Health and Social Care. In 2004 she joined the Honley Law Practice as a part time Practice Assistant.
